This policy explains what personal data Videoblitz collects, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have when you use our AI video clipping, editing, storage, and publishing tools.
1. Who We Are & Contact
Data Controller: VideoBlitz Nai-G. We operate Videoblitz.
For privacy questions or rights requests, contact [email protected].
2. Data We Collect & Why
We process personal data only for specific service, security, billing, support, and publishing purposes. The lawful basis for each category is shown once in the table below.
| Data | Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Account data, including email address, sign-in credentials, login history, and account settings. | Create your account, let you sign in, protect your account, and provide account features. | Contract performance and legitimate interests in service security. |
| Uploaded and generated media, including videos, audio, images, thumbnails, captions, project files, brand assets, exports, and technical details included in those files. | Upload, analyze, transcribe, clip, caption, edit, render, store, and export your content. | Contract performance. Where you choose optional automated analysis or publishing flows that require permission, consent also applies. |
| Payment and subscription data, including plan, invoice, credit balance, payment status, billing references from our payment provider, and transaction details. | Process purchases, manage subscriptions, issue invoices, prevent billing abuse, and meet tax/accounting duties. | Contract performance, legal obligation, and legitimate interests in fraud prevention. |
| Usage, device, and diagnostic data, including feature usage, job status, error reports, browser/device information, security signals, and performance information. | Run the Service, troubleshoot issues, protect against abuse, improve reliability, and understand product usage. | Legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service. |
| Cookies and similar local storage, including small files or browser storage needed for sign-in, preferences, and account security. | Keep you logged in, protect your account, remember preferences, and make core site features work. | Contract performance and legitimate interests for essential cookies. Consent where non-essential cookies are introduced. |
| Marketing measurement data, including TikTok click IDs, campaign parameters, first-party attribution cookies, important page visits, IP address, user agent, and hashed account identifiers such as hashed email address or hashed account ID. | Measure whether advertising leads to account registration, understand which important pages ad visitors view, deduplicate advertising events, and improve campaign reporting. | Legitimate interests in measuring advertising performance, and consent where required for non-essential marketing cookies or similar technologies. |
| Connected social platform data, including selected social accounts, pages or channels, publishing permissions, post settings, scheduled post details, and publishing results. | Connect accounts, show eligible destinations, schedule or publish clips at your request, and report publishing status. | Consent and contract performance. You can disconnect integrations at any time. |
| Support communications, including messages, attachments, account identifiers, and issue history. | Respond to support requests, debug problems, and maintain support records. | Contract performance and legitimate interests in customer support. |
Google User Data
If you connect a Google or YouTube account, Videoblitz uses the information Google makes available only to show the YouTube channel you choose and publish clips you approve. This may include basic account connection details, YouTube channel details, upload and publishing details, and status messages needed to run or troubleshoot your requested publishing workflow. If you provide a public Google Drive video link, we process the Drive link, related file details, and the selected video file only to import the source you selected.
We share, transfer, or disclose Google user data only with the following recipients and only for the purposes described in this policy:
- Google and YouTube: to connect your account, show the channel you authorized, publish approved videos, keep the connection working, import public Drive videos, and receive publishing or import status.
- Infrastructure and processing providers: hosting, storage, security, troubleshooting, and media-processing providers that help us run Videoblitz under confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
- Support, security, legal, and compliance recipients: only when needed to respond to your support request, investigate abuse or security issues, comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
- Successors in a business transaction: only as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, and where required we will obtain your consent before transferring Google user data.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers, or allow people to view private Google user data except with your consent, when needed for support, security, legal reasons, or when the data has been grouped or anonymized for internal operations.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google services follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its rules limiting how Google user data may be used and shared.
3. Automated Processing
Videoblitz uses automated systems and AI models to transcribe, analyze, caption, select, edit, and render clips. You are responsible for reviewing and approving outputs before publishing or relying on them. We do not use solely automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. Service Providers & Transfers
We use service providers for hosting, object storage, payment processing, AI processing, analytics or diagnostics, email/support, advertising measurement, and connected social platform integrations. These providers process data for the purposes described in this policy. For example, when TikTok advertising measurement is enabled, we may send TikTok Events API registration and page-view events with hashed identifiers, click IDs, cookies, IP address, user agent, page URL, and referrer. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and prevent abuse. In practice:
- Account data: kept while your account is active. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize account data unless we must keep limited records for legal, billing, security, or dispute purposes.
- Unfinished uploads: deleted automatically if an upload is not completed, usually within 24 hours.
- Uploaded videos and generated clips: kept for your plan's temporary storage window. The current default is 3 days for free accounts and 30 days for paid accounts, unless a plan or account setting gives a different window. You can delete media earlier where the Service provides deletion controls.
- Saved clips, projects, brand assets, templates, and publishing settings: kept while they remain in your account, subject to plan limits and until you delete them, close your account, or storage cleanup is required.
- Temporary processing files: files created only to generate previews, captions, clips, or exports are kept briefly and cleaned up after they are no longer needed.
- Payment, invoice, and tax records: retained as required by applicable tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations, commonly up to 7 years.
- Marketing attribution records: raw important-page journey records are normally kept for up to 90 days, and sent advertising event records are normally kept for up to 30 days unless a longer period is needed for security, debugging, legal, or dispute purposes.
- Security, support, and diagnostic records: kept for the period needed to resolve issues, protect the Service, enforce terms, and maintain auditability.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location and the data involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
7. Security & Children
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls and operational safeguards. Videoblitz is not directed to children under 16, and children under 16 may not create an account or use the Service.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the Service, law, or our data practices change. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means.
