How to add automatic subtitles to video clips
Videoblitz can create captions from the speech transcription used in the clipping flow. Automatic transcription is a starting point, so review the words, timing, and visual style before rendering the final clip.
- Enable captions when setting up the clipping run.
- Choose a subtitle style that stays readable over the footage.
- Correct transcription mistakes and timing in BlitzEdit.
- Render and watch the final clip before export or publishing.
Generate captions from speech
In the AI Clipping review settings, enable captions for the generated clips. Videoblitz uses the source speech and transcription to create the initial subtitle text and timing.
Choose a readable subtitle style
Select a caption style with enough contrast for the footage. Keep the text easy to scan on a phone and consider where platform controls or other on-screen elements may appear.
Review subtitle accuracy and timing
Open the clip in BlitzEdit and compare every caption with the audio. Fix names, technical terms, punctuation, or timing errors; automatic transcription can mishear unclear speech, accents, or overlapping speakers.
Render and check the result
Render the corrected version and watch it once with sound and once with sound off. Export or publish only after the subtitles remain readable and accurately represent the spoken content.
